A nursery was among 20 properties stricken by a water outage near Swindon after a mains pipe burst.
A burst pipe under Brinkworth Road at Royal Wootton Bassett ended up completely closing the road, and it also cut the water supply to 21 properties in the area.
On Friday morning, Thames Water said: "We're dealing with a burst pipe at Brinkworth Road, SN4. Sorry that your tap water isn't flowing properly at the moment because of this."
An engineer on-site has said the team is using a Vac-Ex machine while they excavated the earth around the burst pipe.
Thames Water had said they hoped to have the pipe fixed later this afternoon.

While the café, along with the nursery, remained open throughout the day other businesses, however, were forced cancel events due to the outage, including a planned Schools Festival at Royal Wootton Bassett Rugby Football Club.
In a post on its Facebook page, the club said: "A burst water main between the Rugby Club and the Sports Club has caused a full road closure. There is currently no access to the Rugby Club from the Royal Wootton Bassett side.
"Access to the Sports Association is still possible via the RWB side through the closure, but please take care.
"There is no water on site at the Rugby Club, so unfortunately, the Schools Festival planned for today has been cancelled. Family Touch this evening is also cancelled.
"We're really sorry for the inconvenience and will update as soon as we know more. Thanks for your understanding"
In a statement to the Swindon Advertiser, a Thames Water spokesperson said that a nursery was among affected properties, and that the company was delivering bottled water to all of them.
They added: "We are sorry to those who are experiencing low water pressure or no water following a burst pipe on Brinkworth Road in Swindon. Our engineers are currently repairing the pipe during which time the road will be closed.
"Tankers are in the area to infuse the network with water and keep taps flowing for homes and businesses and we are also delivering bottled water to the impacted properties.
"We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused and would like our customers to know, we are working to complete the repair as quickly and safely as possible."
