Think Shumacher and Ferrari, or Lewis Hamilton and a Grand Prix chequered flag. The stylish Escapade restaurant and the home of British racing are a winning combination which crowds will rave of.
It is a venue where you can enjoy floor-to-ceiling views of the famous track, alongside the roar of cars racing past, all whilst sampling the best of British ingredients - the team behind this new restaurant, bar and private dining room deserve huge praise.
The restaurant is part of a hospitality concept which pairs luxury accommodation, food and drink with one of the UK's biggest sporting attractions.
But rest-assured it is no gimmick. Yes, it will undoubtedly be a pitstop for petrolhead fans on race day, but it is equally deserving of the top spot on the podium for its first-class foodie offering and will be a tourist's dream. Remove it from the track arena and this culinary showpiece would be befitting of any top restaurant in the region.

On a recent visit with my wife and grandmother, we were taken aback by the quality of the a la carte experience.
But first you have to find your way to the start line.
It is fair to say the route in is a test of the tyres and satnav as you navigate the sprawling surroundings to eventually find the main entrance. One wrong turn and you felt sure you would end up in the middle of the racing drama, but thankfully we found our way and from this point onwards there was no looking in the rear view mirror.
The venue has a wow-factor. Its striking exterior design is matched by the chic interior and impressive, motorsport-inspired gallery showcasing both established and up-and-coming artists, including ex-racing drivers such as Stefan Johansson.
We were soon shown to our seats by the attentive and professional waiting team who were constantly on-hand with advice on menu options and accompanying drinks throughout.
The website promises unbeatable views of the track and it does not disappoint. The panoramic view is worth the visit alone as you feel like you are right at the heart of the action and basking in the atmosphere and, on our occasion, the sunshine. It was so bright, in fact, it was the first indoor restaurant I have visited in the region where half the patrons are wearing sunglasses whilst enjoying their meal.
And it is the food and drink options which really see diners hit top gear, with sublime options offering a global twist to British classics.
To start we opted for shellfish bisque (£17), crispy pork belly and spiced plum ketchup (£11), home-cured beetroot salmon (£17), and a sharing loaf and whipped butter (£9).
The pork belly was a favourite of mine with the sticky and succulent pork expertly cooked and full of flavour. The bisque was opulent and velvety whilst the salmon with nori crisps showcased the quality ingredients on offer.
The impressive array continued with mains. The portions were hearty but not to the detriment of quality. From the grill, the yellowfin tuna steak (£36) with chimichurri was a choice I would highly recommend. Cooked medium rare, the fish was well-seasoned and delicious.
Likewise, the braised beef cheek - which fell apart with the strike of a knife - creamed potato, onion and red wine jus (£32) and pan-fried stone bass, cucumber, seaweed salad and lemongrass broth (£34) were executed brilliantly and a credit to the kitchen team.

For dessert, we opted for the trio of sticky toffee pudding, walnuts, butterscotch sauce and malt ice cream (£12), chocolate mousse, banana, caramel and hazelnuts (£12), blood orange souffle and negroni sorbet (£12).
Soaking up the sun and the end of the day's racing from the rooftop terrace, we were just a celebratory Champagne spray away from the dream day.
This relatively new venue is still making a name for itself outside racing circles, but a visit will not disappoint - regardless of your appetite for motorsport.
Venue: Enjoy the restaurant, bar or, if alfresco is more your thing, head up to the roof deck and take in the panoramic views of the track and countryside
