The configuration is limited to customers with sporting ties to Ferrari.
Ferrari has used the 24 Hours of Le Mans to unveil a 296 Speciale with a new Piloti Ferrari configuration. Created by the company's Tailor Made program, the exclusive specification is reserved for customers "involved in Ferrari's official sporting activities - both competitive and non-competitive."
That makes the Piloti Ferrari configuration ultra-exclusive and it's "designed for those who live the track firsthand." As such, it draws inspiration from the 499P race car which won the Hypercar category at Le Mans in 2023 and 2024.

The model is offered in four racing-inspired colors known as Rosso Scuderia, Blu Tour De France, Nero Daytona, and Argento Nürburgring. The selected color is joined by a 499P-inspired livery, which has Giallo Modena accents as well as a hand-painted WEC logo. Other highlights include an Italian flag motif on the front bumper and a customizable number chosen by the buyer.
The motorsport theme continues inside with black Alcantara racing seats that have special accents, which use the same fireproof fabric as race suits. Buyers will also find a carbon fiber plaque, customizable carbon fiber door sill plates, and customizable metal floor accents. We can also see multiple numbers as well as an Italian flag on the steering wheel, which acts as a center stripe.
Since the Piloti Ferrari configuration is essentially a styling package, the car's plug-in hybrid powertrain carries over. It consists of a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6, a 7.45 kWh battery pack, an electric motor, and an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.
This setup gives the car a combined output of 868 hp (648 kW / 880 PS) and an electric-only range of 15.6 miles (25 km). The model can also rocket from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 2.8 seconds, before hitting a top speed in excess of 205 mph (330 km/h).
