It will be a weekend of mayhem and fun at Penticton Speedway.
Get ready for the loudest, wildest weekend of the summer at Penticton Speedway.
The Feedway 500 Gordy Mannes Memorial roars into Penticton Speedway tonight and tomorrow, promising two adrenalin-pumping nights of racing action, destruction and entertainment -- all in honour of local racing legend Gordy Mannes.
Presented by The Feedway Pet and Livestock Feed, the annual memorial event celebrates the life and legacy of Mannes, a beloved figure in the South Okanagan racing community whose spirit still lives on at the track.
This year's two-day motorsports spectacle will feature a stacked lineup of races, including Hornets, Street Stocks, Legends and Late Models, along with demolition-style crowd favourites like Flying Destruction, where cars catapult off ramps through a motorhome.
Before the destruction on Saturday, it's fans vs. hit-to-pass drivers in an all-out Smoke Show Burnout competition. The first four fans to message the Speedway on its Instagram account will go head-to-head with four of the wildest hit-to-pass drivers for a shot at $150 cash.
The weekend will end with the adrenalin-fuelled and mighty destructive hit-to-pass boat and trailer race. If you've never witnessed controlled chaos like this before, this is your chance.
Gates open at 4:30 p.m. both days, and the racing will get underway at 6 o'clock.
Day 1 (Saturday, Aug. 2)
Kick off the weekend with a full throttle evening of racing followed by BC/DC, Canada's legendary AC/DC tribute band, live on stage. With engines roaring and guitars screaming, it's the perfect fusion of motorsport and music.
BC/DC has been tearing up stages across North America for over two decades with their explosive energy, tongue-in-cheek swagger, and pitch-perfect renditions of AC/DC classics. From Highway to Hell to Thunderstruck, its setlist is pure rock nostalgia -- delivered with outrageous stage antics, screaming guitar solos and enough power to shake the grandstands.
It's a full-throttle experience that pairs perfectly with a night of racing and destruction. Whether you're a die-hard rock fan or just looking for an unforgettable night out, don't miss BC/DC live at the track on Aug. 2.
Day 2 (Sunday, Aug. 3)
Return for even more racing carnage as the "Eve of Destruction" takes over the track. Don't miss the wildest event of the weekend -- Hit to Pass -- where drivers drag boats, trailers and sheer madness behind them in a no-holds-barred brawl for the finish line.
Whether you're a longtime race fan or just looking for a high-octane way to spend the weekend, the Feedway 500 delivers non-stop action, family fun and unforgettable entertainment.
