A new Japanese hot pot and specialist deli will be opening in Manchester and bringing a range of exciting Asian street food options to the city.
Seoul and Tokyo has been hailed as the first-of-its-kind in the country, where it will combine the two concepts together, and will open next month in Square Gardens, which is within the First Street district in the city centre and just by the Mancunian Way.
One of the big draws will be the ability to order broths, which can be fully customised with a range of options including meats, seafood, noodles, and vegetables. It will follow a similar set-up to the likes of Soup Co, by Piccadilly Gardens.
But, different to the others, there will also be sushi boxes, oden soups, and street food treats on offer, including grilled Japanese sausage and steamed pork or chicken buns, as well as a deli to shop at.

The deli will have a fresh meat counter, and will stock a vast range of premium ingredients and daily essentials, like fresh cheesy, natto, tofu, salmon fillets, and seasonal vegetables. It will also sell specialty drinks, including Korean cocktails.
The new venue will be the first Seoul and Tokyo venue to focus on the hot pot and deli model, and will have 60 covers for dine-in.
Shelley Meng at Seoul and Tokyo said of its new venue: "Square Gardens is the perfect home for us, it's modern, vibrant, and community-focused. We know people here will value high-quality, fresh food at a fair price, and our goal is to bring the best of Japanese dining and produce right to their doorstep."
With around 60 covers, the Square Gardens site will be Seoul and Tokyo's first UK location to combine the hot pot-plus-deli model, building on the success of its existing restaurants in Manchester and Birmingham.
Located between Deansgate and Oxford Road stations, Square Gardens is a neighbourhood by Downing Living, which offers residents an all-inclusive living experience with luxury amenities.
Located within the First Street district, it is situated alongside the likes of HOME, Junkyard Golf, and Bunny Jackson's.
John Clegg, Head of Property Management at Downing, said: "We're thrilled to welcome Seoul and Tokyo to Square Gardens. Their unique blend of authentic Japanese hot pot dining and a fresh food deli is exactly the kind of distinctive offering we want for our residents and the wider Manchester community.
"It's a perfect match for the Square Gardens ethos, quality, convenience, and a great experience all in one place."
Seoul and Tokyo is set to open in October, with works due to begin soon.
