GRAND RAPIDS, MI - An 8,000-seat multipurpose stadium named after former mayor and Congressman Julius Houseman is now getting an upgrade through a $5.1 million bond investment.

Located near the cross-section where Fountain Street meets Diamond Avenue, Grand Rapids Public Schools' (GRPS) Houseman Field is a community hub. The stadium at 162 Houseman Ave. NE hosts high school football games and graduation ceremonies, also serving as the track and field/rugby field for Aquinas College men's and women's teams.
