If you haven't already, clear up that schedule for Friday and Saturday. Another loaded slate of Section 2 football games is here.

These are the Gazette News Group Inc.'s "Five Games to Watch" for Week 4:

1. Johnstown (0-0, 1-1) at Cobleskill-Richmondville (0-0, 3-0), 7 p.m. Friday, at Cobleskill-Richmondville High School: The Sir Bills haven't played a game in 14 days, since losing to reigning Class C state champion Schuylerville by one-possession back in Week 2. Their warm welcome back to action comes in the form of the undefeated Bulldogs, the No. 7-ranked team in the state for Class C.

Cobleskill-Richmondville is coming off a 27-26 victory in overtime last Friday, at Hoosick Falls/Tamarac, and it could be in for another tight contest in Week 4. When these two Class C-East Division foes met in 2024, Cobleskill-Richmondville rolled to a 70-6 victory.

2. Glens Falls (3-0) at Averill Park (2-1), 7 p.m. Friday, at Averill Park High School: This is potentially a Section 2 Super Bowl sneak peek between the No. 9 and No. 15 ranked teams for Class B in the New York State rankings. And not to mention, it's going to be hard to find better coaching matchups than Patrick Lilac and Zach Gobel on the gridiron this season.

The Black Bears have proven they can take care of business on the road, winning at Schalmont, 27-8, in Week 1, and at Cohoes, 51-0, last Friday. The Golden Knights bounced back from the season's first loss with a 21-7 home win over Schalmont last Friday.

3. Greenwich (3-0) at Lake George/Warrensburg/Bolton (2-0), 7 p.m. Friday, at Lake George High School: The Witches, ranked No. 2 for Class D in the state, finally gave up some points last weekend after outsourcing opponents 82-0 through two games to start the season. More importantly, the Witches edged No. 8 Cambridge/Salem in Week 3, 21-7.

The Wolverines won back-to-back road games to start the season, and at long last, they make their home debut for 2025 on Friday night. The title of "Last unbeaten team in Section 2 Class D" also goes up for grabs in this one, in what is another potential Super Bowl preview.

4. Colonie (0-1, 2-1) at Shenendehowa (1-0, 3-0), 7 p.m. Friday, at East Stadium-Turf Field: As aforementioned, it's a loaded slate. There was certainly more than one option to fulfill this final slot. But seeing that Shenendehowa has delivered back-to-back thrillers -- 28-21 win vs. Niskayuna, 21-20 win vs. Guilderland -- the No. 21-ranked team for Class AA deserves to be labeled "appointment viewing."

The Wolfpack suffered their first setback last Friday, relinquishing the Colonie Cup to crosstown rival Shaker, 27-21. Here marks the first road test of the Jon LaPoint era for the Wolfpack, after starting off with three straight home games.

5. Pawling (2-0) vs. Taconic Hills (3-0), 8-man, 7 p.m. Friday, Taconic Hills Central School: Taconic Hills, currently 3-0, has yet to lose a game in eight-man, dating back to its two-week experiment with the format last fall.

The Titans beat Tri-Valley 42-6 last Saturday, in another chapter of their Section 9-oriented schedule this season.

Taconic Hills has arguably its toughest challenge yet on Friday against Pawling. The Tigers, 2-0, are coming off a 61-32 victory last weekend over Sullivan West, Section 9's defending champion in eight-man.
