Jake Tabor does not see any reason why his goal-scoring exploits should not translate to League Two after joining Swindon Town.
The 22-year-old has become a professional footballer for the first time after Swindon swiftly turned his trial into a permanent stay over the weekend.
Playing for Amersham Town, no player in England has scored more than Tabor's 127 goals in 91 appearances across the last two seasons, as he earned national attention for his ability to put the ball in the back of the net.
Now he steps up from the ninth tier to the fourth, but he believes that his eye for goal will be a transferable skill when he pits his wits against higher-level players.
Speaking to Swindon's YouTube channel, he said: "I was just playing men's football week in, week out on poor pitches and in different types of football.
"It is a tough level, and it has gotten me used to playing men's football every week and getting that practice.
"I have been in lots of different teams and changing rooms, and I think that builds you as a player, and builds your confidence meeting new lads. It has put me in good stead and got me to where I am today.
"It [his goalscoring record] is incredible numbers, but now it is time to prove myself at the next level.
"It is a massive jump, it is a five or six league jump, but if you can find where the back of the net is, then I don't see how you can't do it at that higher level."
Tabor said that he has found the whole environment very welcoming since arriving at Swindon last week, but Ian Holloway has made a particular impression on him.
He said: "They [the initial conversations] have been really good. I have never spoken to a manager so much in such a short space of time.
"I think that is testament to him, as I am coming in as a trialist and normally the trialists are just left in the corner to their own devices.
"But he and the players have been so welcoming, and that is why it has made signing here so easy.
"I know that he will coach me to the best of his abilities, and he has already today stayed out for a little bit doing some finishing with me.
"Stuff like that he does not have to do for his trialists, so it has been about him going above and beyond."
