SHENANDOAH -- When Scott R. Hartzel died in a car accident in January, the loss was felt not only by his parents, but also by his friends at Shenandoah Valley High School. "It was the first thing that popped into my head. It's tough, knowing that I won't see him again," said Steve B. Smith, a teammate of Hartzel's who came up with the idea for the mural.
