Evans Ogenyi has officially resumed duty as the new technical adviser of Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side, Kano Pillars.

Ogenyi oversaw his first training session with the team on Thursday at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano, marking the beginning of his second stint with the club.

His appointment was confirmed on Wednesday, following the departure of Coach Usman Abdallah, who left the Sai Masu Gida at the end of the 2024-25 NPFL season.

Ogenyi is no stranger to the Kano-based club, having previously guided them to NPFL promotion in 2023. His return is seen as a move to build on that earlier success.

Before rejoining Kano Pillars, Ogenyi served as an assistant coach at Rivers United and has also managed other top-tier Nigerian clubs including Warri Wolves and Lobi Stars.

The club is optimistic that Ogenyi's wealth of experience will help steer Kano Pillars to greater heights in the upcoming NPFL season.
