Having failed to qualify for the 2025 ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final, India will be looking to begin their 2025-27 WTC cycle on a positive note. India will kick off their new WTC cycle with a grueling five-match Test series in England. The series will begin with the first Test at Headingley in Leeds on June 20 and is scheduled to conclude at The Oval in London on August 4.

India head into the new WTC cycle with a new captain in Shubman Gill. He has taken charge following the retirement of Rohit Sharma from the Test format. The visitors will also be without senior batter Virat Kohli in England. The former captain has also quit red-ball cricket.

In the WTC 2025-27 cycle, Team India will play a total of 18 Test matches. Of the total number of matches they will play in the new cycle, nine will be at home and nine away. Apart from the upcoming five-match Test series in England, India will visit Sri Lanka and New Zealand for two Tests each.

Shifting focus to their home schedule, the Indian men's cricket team will play two Tests against West Indies, two Tests against South Africa and five matches against Australia as part of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. After the tour of England, India will host West Indies for two Tests in October against South Africa for two Tests in November. The exact schedule for subsequent Tests is yet to be confirmed.

Below is Team India's schedule for the 2025-27 WTC, with IST timings.
