Minnesota Lynx forward Napheesa Collier's stellar season continued today against the Los Angeles Sparks.

The overwhelming MVP favorite dropped 26 points during the first half, equaling the Sparks' total as a team. The Uconn alum shot 10-12 from the field, including 3-of-4 on three-point attempts, six rebounds and six assists in 18 minutes.

It's the most explosive half of her professional career and Collier showed off her extremely versatile game. The Lynx dominated throughout, leading to a final score of 101-98 and moved to 10-1 on the season.

The team went 30-10 a year ago, reaching the WNBA Finals for the seventh time in franchise history. Although they lost to the New York Liberty in five games in last season's championship, the Lynx look even stronger now.

According to Fox Sports, Collier is first in MVP odds at -375, with Caitlin Clark ranked second at +400.

The 2024 runner-up for both MVP and Defensive Player of the Year is averaging a career-high 25.4 points per game on 50.6 percent shooting, including 40.6 percent from long range. She'e also bringing 8.9 rebounds, 3.7 assists, two steals, and 1.6 blocks to the hardwood in most games.

Collier plays with elite versatility, blending efficient scoring, aggressive rebounding, and great playmaking for the position. Her high basketball IQ and athleticism allow her to dominate in transition, exploit mismatches, and lock down opponents defensively.

With the way Collier is playing so far, the Lynx will definitely be contending for their fifth WNBA title.
