BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV)- Get ready for an action-packed two-day weekend extravaganza, the City of Biloxi and Mover and Shakers Social Club present the Juneteenth Weekend Celebration.
The event kicked off with a three-on-three basketball tournament on Friday afternoon.
On Saturday, there is a unity walk/run in the morning at John Henry Beck Park. Registration begins at 7 a.m. and the walk starts at 8 a.m.
Later Saturday, the big Juneteenth Celebration takes place at the Biloxi Town Green from 2 to 9 p.m. and features music, vendors, food, and an essay contest.
