Three days ago, Panathinaikos' owner, Dimitris Giannakopoulos, hinted on social media that Jerian Grant would have extended his contract with the Greek powerhouse for three more years.
Now, the Greens have made it official, securing one of the best backcourt defensive specialists in the whole EuroLeague until 2028, extending the American shooting guard's stay in Athens.
In the 2024-25 EuroLeague season, the 32-year-old guard has averaged 8.6 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game. However, Panathinaikos couldn't get over Fenerbahce in the Semi-Finals.
The former Olimpia Milano, Promitheas Patras, and Turk Telekom Ankara player has been a crucial part of Panathinaikos' success in the 2023-24 season, winning both the Greek Basket League and, most importantly, the EuroLeague during the Final Four in Berlin.
