The La Crosse Tribune will recognize the accomplishments of five high school girls athletes from our coverage area each week.
The efforts may not be the greatest statistically but are notable. We then invite readers to vote for the Supernova, the performance that most stood out to you as the Supernova.
Here are this week's honorees.
Natalie Marso leads Onalaska
Onalaska's Natalie Marso continued a standout junior campaign by leading the Hilltoppers to a pair of wins over the last week.
The junior led Onalaska with 16 kills in a four-set win over Sparta on Sept. 18. She followed that with 22 kills in a five-set thriller over Aquinas on Tuesday.

Onalaska coach Jessica Rohde described Marso as an "aggressive and athletic hitter" but also a player who's learning how to balance power and finesse on the court.

"She's mixing up her shots," Rohde said. "Now, she's getting better at knowing when to throw, when to roll, when to tip and then go back to power."
Aquinas' Tenzin Nelson finishes off dominant regular season
Aquinas' Tenzin Nelson, one of the Mississippi Valley Conference's top tennis stars finished the regular season with a pair of wins.
The senior defeated Audrey Hoffman of Tomah 6-0, 6-0, on Sept. 18 then defeated Logan's Sophia Tucker 6-0, 6-2 on Tuesday before beating Onalaska's Mara Klein 6-3, 6-2 a day later in a match where she was stung by a bee near the end.

Nelson has a 22-1 record as a senior.
Aquinas coach Evan Huemoeller said one of the keys to Nelson's success has been her composure no matter the situation.
"She goes out there and plays each point like it's just another tennis point," Huemoeller said. "She goes out there and each match is a new match, and each point is a new point, and she doesn't take any points for granted."
Tomah's Karma Hasselberger secures crown
Tomah senior Karma Hasselberger secured her second straight Mississippi Valley Conference Player of the Year crown with a meet best 78 at the conference championships at Viroqua Hills Golf Course on Wednesday.

"To be the MVC Conference Player of the Year two years in a row is a pretty big feat," Tomah coach Tonya Gnewikow told the Tribune. "We're proud of her and she is excited for herself too."
The Timberwolves also won their second consecutive conference title, with four players cementing their spots as first team all-conference golfers.
Elora Lewis' hat trick powers La Crescent-Hokah
Midfielder Elora Lewis scored all of La Crescent-Hokah's goals in a 3-0 win over St. Charles on Sept. 18.

The sophomore scored two goals in the first half before completing the hat trick in the final period.
Lewis is up to six goals this season.
Holmen's Sabrina Lechnir takes first
Holmen standout Sabrina Lechnir finished first in a field of 88 runners at the Jim Flim Invitational in Winona on Saturday.
Lechnir finished with a time of 19 minutes, 42.2 seconds, more than 20 seconds faster than the second-place finisher.

Holmen finished second as a team, falling to Winona by only a single point.
