The NFL is coming to Croke Park this weekend, as the Pittsburgh Steelers take on the Minnesota Vikings.

Excitement is building in Dublin all week in what will be a huge sporting occasion, with thousands of fans in Ireland for the game, in the first NFL game in the country.

With American football fans across the world set to be watching, or making the journey to Dublin, here is what you need to know ahead of this weekend.

Pittsburgh Steelers v Minnesota Vikings is on Sunday, September 28th at 2.30 pm in Croke Park.

Virgin Media will be showing live coverage of the game, and will also be showing live coverage of European NFL games throughout the season.

The game will also be shown live on the Sky Sports NFL channel.

Many fans were left disappointed after a huge scramble for tickets this summer, with prices leaving tickets out of reach for many people.

At the time of writing, there was a small number of tickets remaining.

Both teams have won two of their opening three games.

The Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the New York Jets 34-32 in their first game, before losing 31-17 to the Seattle Seahawks. Last weekend, they were winners away to the New England Patriots.

The Vikings were impressive 48-10 winners over the Cincinnati Bengals in their last game. They started the season with a 27-24 win over the Chicago Bears, before a defeat to the Atlanta Falcons.

At the age of 41, Aaron Rodgers is still competing at the highest level, lining up at quarter back for the Steelers.

Seen by many as one of the best to play the sport, Irish fans have the opportunity to see him in action live, as it remains unclear how long he has left in the game.

The Vikings' starting quarterback JJ McCarthy, has been ruled out for two to four weeks with an ankle strain, so backup quarterback Carson Wentz will take up the mantle for the Dublin game.
