Oregon State Beavers All-Quarter-Century team nominees: Offensive tackles

The Oregonian/OregonLive has compiled a list of nominees for an Oregon State Beavers All-Quarter-Century football team made up of players from 2000 through 2024. The final teams will be selected in August.

Today: Offensive tackles (nominees detailed below in alphabetical order).

Accolades/accomplishments: After redshirting in 2016, Brandel started all 48 games (third all-time at OSU) that the Beavers played over the next four seasons. The left tackle was named second-team All-Pac-12 following his redshirt senior season.

NFL: The Minnesota Vikings selected Brandel in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL draft. He has played three seasons with the Vikings, appearing in 39 games with five starts.

Accolades/accomplishments: In his final season as a junior, Fuaga was named first-team All-Pac-12, first-team All-America (FWAA), and second-team All-America by the Associated Press. He also was a semifinalist for both the Outland Trophy and Lombardi Award.

Fuaga was named second-team All-Pac-12 in 2022.

NFL: The New Orleans Saints selected Fuaga with the No. 14 pick in the first round of the 2024 NFL draft. That made him the third-highest pick in the history of the program.

Accolades/accomplishments: Harlow overcame a season-ending leg injury in 2015 to be named second-team All-Pac-12 in 2006.

Accolades/accomplishments: Kipper, a transfer from Hawaii, became a starter as a redshirt sophomore in 2019 and was named honorable mention All-Pac-12 and received the same honors in 2021 and 2022.

His 45 career starts ranked tied for seventh at OSU.

NFL: Kipper signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent but did not appear in a game in 2023.

Accolades/accomplishments: The junior college transfer was named second-team All-Pac-10 in 2006.

NFL: The New York Giants selected Koets in the sixth round of the 2007 NFL draft. He played four seasons with the Giants.

Accolades/accomplishments: He was named honorable mention All-Pac-10 in 2006, second team in 2007 and first team in 2008. That final season also saw Levitre be named first team All-America by the American Football Coaches Association and second team by the Associated Press.

NFL: Buffalo selected Levitre in the second round of the 2009 draft. He played 10 years in the NFL with the Bills, Tennessee and Atlanta.

Accolades/accomplishments: Nienhuis was named second team All-Pac-10 in 2003 and first team in 2003.

NFL: Seattle selected Nienhuis in the seventh round of the 2005 draft. He ultimately played seven games with the New York Jets in 2005.

Accolades/accomplishments: Phillip made 48 starts, tied for fourth all-time at OSU.

He began his career by being named a freshman All-America by CollegeFootballNews.com after becoming the first true freshman to start at OSU since 1997. Injuries slowed him down in 2010 and 2011, but he regained his dominance as a starter.

NFL: Philipp signed with Miami as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2014 but never appeared in a game.

Accolades/accomplishments: Remmers, a walk-on, made 44 career starts at OSU, 10th all-time.

He redshirted as a freshman, started seven games in his second season, then received a scholarship before the 2009 season. Remmers started the next three seasons, receiving honorable mention All-Pac-10 in 2010.

NFL: Remmers signed as an undrafted rookie free agent with Denver in 2012. He ended up playing 104 games over 10 seasons with six different teams, appearing in a Super Bowl with Kansas City.
